Are all Lenovo thinkpads touchscreen?
Lenovo laptops with the Thinkpad name do not necessarily have touch screens. Lenovo’s Thinkpad laptop series is a name-brand of laptops. Also, ThinkPad has many series, including ThinkPad series X1, ThinkPad series P, ThinkPad series L, and many more. Each of the line up offers laptops with both touch and non-touch screens.

Thinkpad Laptop models and touchscreen
ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 2:
ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 2 offers both options including touch or non-touch. Both models share the same 16:10, 2K screen resolution of 2160 x 1350 pixels, 450 nits, and 100% sRGB display quality. The main difference between Touch and non-touch variants of Thinkpad X1 Nano Gen 2 is the price tag. It is more expensive to purchase the touchscreen variant.
ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 :
You can choose between a 14 inches touchscreen or a non-touch variant of Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 10. The entry-level model is without touch with 1920-1200 resolutions, while the touchscreen variant with the same resolution will cost you around $200 more.
Also available are non-touch and touch versions of the Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 10 display, which supports HDR400 Dolby Vision and has a resolution of 3,840 by 2,400 pixels.
ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 7:
Due to its 2-in-1 nature, the ThinkPad X1 comes only with a touchscreen model. There is no non-touch version for this model. Hence, without a touch option and a stylus, 2-in-1 laptops are incomplete.
Adding more to the screen, Thinkpad X1 Yoga Gen 7 offers a 1,920-by-1,200-pixel resolution, with an option to upgrade to an OLED panel with 3,840-by-2,400 pixels at 500 nits. Touch screens are available in both variants.
ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4:
Thinkpad X1 Extreme Gen 4 ships with both touch and nontouch variants. With multiple screen quality options. However, despite having similar specs, the touch variant of the Thinkpad X1 extreme Gen 4 costs more. Consider the non-touch version if you want to save money, and go for a touchscreen model if you can spend more.
ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9
With the Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 9, you have the option of both touch and non-touch. Both panels are IPS-based instead of exotic OLED and powered by Intel’s Iris Xe graphics.
With a 1,920-by-1,200-pixel resolution, the Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 9 offers found different display types: a non-touch screen with 400 nits of brightness, a touch screen with the same brightness, and a touch screen with a PrivacyGuard filter with 500 nits of brightness. Fourth, there is a glossy panel with a resolution of 3,840 by 2,400 pixels and a brightness of 500 nits option available in Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 9 for added display quality and for more money- also available in touch or non-touch.
ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6
ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6 is a convertible business laptop. Similar to other Thinkpad yoga laptops, this model only comes with a touchscreen variant and all models have a built-in stylus that you can use for drawing something or highlighting text.
In addition to the screen, ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6 comes with a 14-inch Touch-Screen display that is convertible to 360 degrees, including a 16:10 aspect screen ratio with 400 nits of brightness.
ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga:
The Thinkpad X1 Titanium Yoga is part of the Yoga series, so it’s a convertible touchscreen laptop. There is no non-touch version of the X1 Titanium Yoga. It features a touch-enabled 13.5-inch display and a 450-nit backlight and is taller and narrower than current ThinkPads.
Through its 360-degree rotating hinge, this easel can be transformed into a tent, an easel, or a tablet.
ThinkPad X1 Nano:
The ThinkPad X1 Nano laptop is available in both variants, touch or non-touch. The non-touch is popular and can be found easily in online stores while the touch variants of X1 Nano were limited and rare to find.
The screen specs of both variants are the same, as a 13-inch IPS matte display with a resolution of 2160 x 1350 pixels is built using the LEN4076 panel. As always, prepared to spend more on the touch screen version.
ThinkPad P1 Gen 4:
The Thinkpad P1Gen 4 comes with both non-touch and touch screens. IPS display with 1920-1200 resolution is the base model’s display specification. There are touch and non-touch 3,840-by-2,400 IPS screens available with 600 nits of brightness if you want higher resolution- Yes, of course for extra bucks.
ThinkPad P17 Gen 2:
There is no touch display variant available for Thinkpad p17 Gen 2. However, it comes with two display options, one for entry-level users and one for higher-level users- both without touch screens.
With the base model, you get a full HD (1,920-by-1,080-pixel) non-touch display, and for better specs, you get a 3,840-by-2,160-pixel IPS screen rated at 500 nits of brightness with factory color calibration.
ThinkPad P15s Gen 2:
Thinkpad P15s Gen 2 features Full-HD (1920 x 1080) with or without a touch screen and 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) without touch. This means p15 Gen 2 base model has two variants including a touchscreen while the high-end model is available without touch.
ThinkPad P14s Gen 2:
There is only a touchscreen version of the Lenovo Thinkpad p14 Gen 2. It is a mobile workstation laptop. The Thinkpad p14 Gen 2 comes with two display options; a 14″ Full HD IPS touchscreen and an anti-glare display- without a touchscreen.
ThinkPad X13s:
With the ThinkPad X13s, you have the option of having a touch screen or not. Among the three display types Lenovo X13 offers are a non-touch IPS AG 300-nit panel, an IPS touch AG 300-nit panel, and a low-power non-touch IPS AG 400-nit display.
The display resolution for all three types is 1920 x 1200p and all three display sizes are 13.3 inches.
ThinkPad X13 Gen 2:
There are two versions of the Thinkpad X13, with a touchscreen and a non-touch version, both with the same screen size of 13.3 inches. Additionally, Lenovo offers an integrated privacy-filter display for the ThinkPad X13 Gen 2 if you prefer. Whether they are touch-based or non-touch-based, No higher resolutions, such as QHD or 4K, are available for this model.
ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen 2
Since you can transform the ThinkPad X13 Yoga into a tablet, it has a touchscreen and a stylus. The size of the screen is 13 inches and there is no non-touch variant released for the x13 yoga gen 2 models.
ThinkPad T16 Gen 1:
Lenovo ThinkPad T16 features a 16-inch IPS LCD screen with an aspect ratio of 16:10. Due to the large display size, the non-touch variant is popular despite having a touch-supported display.
ThinkPad T14s Gen 3:
Thinkpad T13 Gen 3 is a 14-inch business laptop, portable and powerful. It’s only available in the touchscreen variant though the display specs are varieties to choose from- with touchscreens on all.
ThinkPad T14 Gen 3:
With the Thinkpad T14 Gen 3, you can choose between a touch and a non-touch version. Screen size ranges from 14-inches to 16-inches. ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2:
A ThinkPad L13 Yoga laptop has a touchscreen display that can be converted to a 2-in-1 business machine. Because of its dual nature, tablet mode and laptop mode, the models don’t have any non-touch scnreen variant.
ThinkPad L13 Gen 2:
You can buy Thinkpad L13 Gen 2 in either touch or non touch variant. There is a 13.3-inch IPS display with a native resolution of 1920×1080 pixels (Full HD). A Full HD touchscreen with a slight increase in brightness is also an option, as is a cheaper TN panel with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels (HD).
ThinkPad E15 Gen 3
There is no touchscreen available on the ThinkPad E15 Gen 3 AMD (15″) laptop. However, you can buy a thinkpad with similar specs such as the Lenovo L14 Gen 2 that has a touchscreen.
ThinkPad E14 Gen 3
There are two versions of the Think E14 Gen 2. One has a touchscreen and one does not. There is a range of display options to choose from, ranging from 1080p to 2160p. Though the touchscreen version is heavier and consume more battery, also is expensive.
ThinkPad E15 Gen 2
Two versions of the Think E15 Gen 2 are available, one with a touchscreen and one without.In addition to being heavier and consuming more battery power, the touchscreen version also costs more.
ThinkPad E14 Gen 2
You can buy Thinpad E14 Gen in either touch screen or non-touch version, featuring the same display qualities, ranging from base model 1440 FHD to flagship model UHD.
